Thressa Pettit, age 101 of Millville, passed away Saturday morning in her home. Born in Philadelphia, Thressa has been a Millville resident all of her life. She had worked at several local glass houses including, Armstrong Cork and Kerr Glass, and had retired after 25 years of service. She is predeceased by her husband Lewis Pettit; 2 sisters, Katherine Mann and Mary Pettit; 1 brother , Joseph Mann; 2 nieces and 1 grandson.
Thressa is survived by : 3 children, Doris Ogle, Lewis Pettit and Shirley Plumline ; and 1 niece, Gloria Bishop, all of Millville; and 2 caregivers, Evelyn Kates and Cathy Gable who were devoted to her care and comfort. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Thressa's graveside service 1 pm Wednesday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Millville. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Barr Funeral Home.
