Thomas C. Soltys, age 84 of Millville, passed away Christmas night after a lengthy illness. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
A lifelong Millville resident, he was a member of American Legion Post 82 of Millville. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Mike Trout fan. Tom enjoyed hunting and playing cards with his friends Dave and Joe, camping, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his friends. He truly enjoyed life.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Myers Soltys; daughter, Nancy Upham and her significant other, Buddy; grandchildren, Thomas A. Upham and his wife Shannon of Mooresville, IN, and Megan Irwin and her husband Justin of Fort Meade, FL; great grandson Jace Irwin, sister-in-law Joan Soltys, good friend and neighbor, Virginia Gandy, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and 3 bothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral service on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville. There will be a viewing from 11 AM until 1 PM; followed by the funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Thomas' memory to Holy Redeemer Hospice.
