Thomas Edward
Sheppard
d. May 13, 2025
Haleyville
Thomas (Tom) Edward Sheppard, age 72, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus on May 13, 2025, lovingly surrounded by his wife and children. He passed peacefully after a lengthy health journey. Tom was a long time native of Haleyville, NJ where he lived with his wife of 51 years, Eileen Taylor Sheppard. They had four children Thomas (Heather), Shirley "Sissy" (Wil), Richard (Krissy), and Debra (Lee). Tom is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Michaela, Jacob, Noel, Skylar, Emmy, Aubrey, Abby, Riley and 2 great grandchildren: Kayden, and Kolson. He is also survived by his siblings: Harry (Kay), Ginny (Larry), Steven (Sandra), Kathy (Steve), Mary (John), and Chris (Shelby). He is predeceased by his parents Thomas C. and Mary (Shaw) Sheppard, and his brother Bob (Dixie). He is survived by his fur-baby, Roxy and newly adopted cat, Meow-Meow. He is met in Heaven by his multiple doggies and kitty cats that have crossed over the rainbow bridge.
Tom worked for Jessie S. Morie and Son, Inc. in Mauricetown and Unimin Corporation Sandplant in Dividing Creek, as a heavy machine operator and supervisor for many years.
He had a great love for life. Some of his favorite things included working in his yard, cheering for his Eagles and Phillies, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed taking day trips with his wife and brothers. He loved discussing the Bible and had a childlike faith. Tom is remembered by all who knew him for his extraordinary generosity and helpfulness. He was always the first to offer a lending hand in spite of on-going health issues. One of his happiest memories recently was the Eagles winning Super Bowl LIX this past February.
His legacy of love is carried on by all who had the privilege of having him in their lives.
