Shari Lynn Ney

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shari Lynn Ney, who departed this world on December 26, 2023. She was born on September 27, 1963, and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Shari was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, compassion, and selflessness. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Shari is survived by her husband, Patrick Ney, mother, Patricia Forgie, daughter, Ashley (Eric) Trovarelli, sisters, Lori (Paul) Johnston and Chrissy (Chris) Durham, grandchildren, Madison, Chase, and Taylor, and several extended family members. Shari is predeceased by her father, William Miller and step-father, Samuel Forgie.

Shari worked for the City of Millville for many years; however, her true passion in life was to rescue and care for animals. As a child, Shari grew up around horses and as an adult, she enjoyed spending time with her dogs. In recent years, she founded Chasing Tails Trap and Rescue, a non-profit animal trap and rescue service. Shari will be deeply missed by her three grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Shari Lynn Ney will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024,11:30 AM, at Barr Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 11:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering and honoring her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Chasing Tails Trap and Rescue in memory of Shari.
