Sarah Louise Whelan, nee Stetser, 87, formerly of Somerdale, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025. Born on September 11, 1937, in Camden she was the youngest and last survivor of five children. She married Paul Whelan in 1960, and together they raised five daughters.

Sarah was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church for 50 years until her declining health intervened.  She was known as "the fudge lady" at Boscovs in the Echelon Mall for almost 15 years. Sarah was predeceased by her husband Paul, daughter Patricia and son-in-law, John Walton.  She is survived by her daughters Denyse Whelan, Dianne Walton, Beth Ann (George) Liggett and Paula (Jeff) Hedderick, grandsons Tosh Kapij, Christopher Walton, Nick Hedderick and JP Hedderick and great-grandaughter Alexis Kapij and dearest nieces CathyAnn Moncrief, Sharon Hinke and Loranne Aspers.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am - 12:00pm immediately followed by a Celebration of Life on Friday, January 24 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Runnemede. Interment to follow at Woodbury Memorial Park.
