Sarah E. Fagan, age 91 of Millville, passed away Wednesday evening, September 14, 2021 at her home.

A lifelong resident of Millville, Sarah graduated from Millville High School and Glassboro Teachers College. She was a teacher for many years at the Culver Center and the Rieck Avenue School, from which she retired. She had the amazing ability to remember her students by name many years after they graduated. Sarah enjoyed traveling throughout North America and Europe with her husband but was always happy to be home where she could drive to the Jersey shore and enjoy the boardwalk and beaches. She was an avid reader and amassed an enormous collection of books.

She is survived by nieces, Kathy Whildin Millard and her husband, Bob and Sherry Whildin Stiles and her husband, Jerry, 6 grand nieces and nephews, 9 great grand nieces and nephews, and 2 great great grand nieces and nephews.

Sarah was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, John E. Fagan, her parents,  William and Julie Harris Emerson and her son, Michael John Fagan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sarah's funeral on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street, Millville. There will be a viewing from 10 AM to 11 AM followed by the funeral service. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in her memory to Millville Public Library.
