Sandra Nugent Tice, 79 of Millville, NJ passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2021 surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late Joseph and Dorothy Nugent on May 18, 1941 in Millville.  Sandy graduated from Millville High School in 1959 and received both her Bachelors of Arts and Masters in Teaching degrees from Glassboro State College.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Louis H. Tice, who she married June 3, 1961 at the First Baptist Church in Millville.  She is also survived by two children:  Debbi Tuck and husband Russ of Wenham, Massachusetts; and Joe Tice and wife Katie of Philadelphia, PA.  Sandy is also survived by two grandchildren, Daniel and Amy Tuck, one sister as well as many nieces and nephews.

A dedicated teacher for 28 years, Sandy touched the lives of many first and second graders during her time teaching at Bacon and Silver Run Schools in Millville.  She finished her career as a reading specialist helping students in the Millville Public School System.  She is also a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed being part of a quilting club for many years.  She loved to travel and traveled to 49 of the 50 states as well as many countries.  Kind and generous, she will be missed by all.

Family and friends who wish to pay their respects will be welcomed for a walk through only viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Barr Funeral Home. Face masks and social distancing will be required. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a private service for family only following the viewing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sandy's memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 201 N. Second Street, Millville, NJ or to the Millville Thunderbolt Club Scholarship Fund, 706 N. 8th St., Millville, NJ.
