Rickey D. Hickman, Sr., age 59, passed away at home from long term illnesses involving his heart and lungs on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Rickey was a devoted husband, loved all of his children despite their differences, and was an extremely proud grandfather.

Rickey took pride in his work as head of maintenance at multiple sand plants, working to provide for the family he loved. He lived in Cumberland County his entire life. His passion was his Harley. He loved to ride from Fortescue to East Point Light House just for fun. Up until his illness took hold of him, you'd find him in the woods hunting.

Rickey leaves behind his loving wife, Tammy; sons, Rickey Jr., Thomas and Christopher; daughter, Cherish; grandchildren, Ashlee, Jamie, Xander, Damien, Carmen, and several other grandchildren; and sisters, Denise, Diane, Tommilyn, and Penny. He is predeceased by his mother, Dellora; father, Thomas; brothers, Arthur and Clifford; and sisters, Nancy and Darlene.

Services will be held Friday, June 12, 2026 at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville, NJ 08332. Visitation with the family will be from 11AM to 12PM with the funeral service at 12 PM Friday. After the service, Rickey will be taking his final ride to Leesburg Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
