Phyllis Ann Edwards, age 75, of Millville, formerly of Ventnor, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024.

Born in Atlantic City, she was raised in Ventnor, attended Ventnor City elementary schools and graduated from Atlantic City High School. Phyllis pursued a degree in teaching and graduated from Glassboro Teachers College. She taught in Ventnor City School District for 34 years, retiring in 2004.

Phyllis enjoyed sewing and embroidery and used those skills to make dolls and stuffed animals for her friends and coworkers to give as gifts. She was an avid reader and loved to travel with her husband, exploring the United States from coast to coast. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Cianfoni.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bruce M. Edwards, sisters, Clara Beatty (Michael) and Mary Smith (Barry), sisters-in-law, Nancy Anastasi (Larry) and Mary Edwards, brothers-in-law, Brian Edwards (Heidi) and Robert Edwards, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, March 14, 2024. There will be visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Thursday at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street, Millville, NJ 08332. A funeral mass will be held 11 AM Thursday at Parish of All Saints Church, 621 Dock Street, Millville, NJ 08332.
