Paul M. Pettit, age 78, of Millville, passed away, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Atlantic City Hospital.

Paul was born in Millville was a lifelong resident. He retired from the NJ Department of Corrections, having worked at Southern State and South Woods State Prisons. Paul served his community as a volunteer fire fighter in Millville and was active in the Shekinah Lodge #58 F.&A.M. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Paul loved to travel, especially to his yearly destination-Puerto Rico here he enjoyed warm weather and beautiful beaches. When he was not enjoying his month-long rest in Puerto Rico he was traveling abroad. He looked forward to trips to the casinos where he played the slots. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jacqueline; daughter, Ardrea Vanaman and her husband Scott; son, Newell Pettit and his wife, Adrian; brother, Joseph Pettitt; sisters, Jane Jenhino and Maryellen Snyder; and grandchildren, Alexis Vanaman and her fiance, Teddy, Brandon Pettit, Eric Vanaman, and Cameron Pettit.

Cremation was private through Barr Funeral Home.
