Paul J. Menz, Sr., age 78 of Millville, passed away Sunday morning, July 13, 2014, in his home. Paul was a lifelong resident of Millville. He worked as a Master Operator for Wheaton Glass, retiring after 40 years of service.

Paul developed a love for horse racing at the age of 17, a passion that continued his whole life. At one time he owned and raced his own horses. He was a kind and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Edna Belle and Jacob Mennz, and two daughters, Deborah and Diane Menz.

Paul is survived by: his soul mate of 22 years, Marie Cummings; four children, Cynthia Menz; Paul J. Menz, Jr. and his wife Melina; Ron Vanaman and his wife Nancy; and Karen Menz; a sister, Jackie Abbott and her husband Ed; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing and funeral service on Thursday, July 17, 2014. There will be a viewing from 4 pm to 6 pm Thursday, followed by the funeral service 6 pm in the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street in Millville. Cremation will be private.
