Obituary

Martha (Marge) Ann Butcher, 93, passed away on July 27th, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was born on August 1st, 1932, in Millville, New Jersey to Ukrainian immigrants Andrew Samchuk and Catherine Kapusty.

Marge graduated from Millville High School in 1950 and worked early in life as a bank teller, eventually ran a family-owned butcher shop, and finally settled in fashion sales. She married Henry Butcher II on April 27th, 1957, and together they built their home in Millville, New Jersey and raised a family. Marge traveled extensively with her husband; her most cherished places visited were Alaska and Hawaii. Marge's favorite past time was shopping 'til she dropped! Her sincerest hobby was cooking, and she trained herself to be the master chef of her own kitchen. Marge was known to give selflessly to all those around her and had a personal touch that was unmatched. She cared deeply for her family and kept a lengthy correspondence with loved ones across the country via mail.

Marge is survived by son; Andrew Butcher and granddaughter; Erica Butcher and her husband John Offineer, great-granddaughter; Harley Offineer, and countless beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Martha was preceded in death by her son; Henry (Butch) Butcher III, husband; Henry Butcher II, brothers and sisters; Aaron Samchuk, John Samchuk, Raymond Samchuk, Steven Samchuk, Vera Samchuk (Nelson), Marrion Samchuk (Chiari), parents; Andrew Samchuk and Catherine Kapusty.
