Marleen A. Green, 77, of Cumberland, spent her final days surrounded by loved ones. She passed peacefully on Saturday morning, August 27, 2022, after an extended illness. Daughter of the late William and Grace (Lombardi) Scanlan, she was born in Long Island, NY on August 12, 1945.Marleen lived the majority of her life in Cumberland, NJ. On October 31, 1964, she married Gordon M. Green, her husband of 54 years. She was predeceased by her husband on August 18, 2018. She was the proud mother to her three sons, loving and caring granny to her five beloved grandchildren, loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Marleen was a devoted mother and homemaker, but also loved working with children in the school system as a hall aide and bus aide. But above all, her greatest pride was being a granny. She enjoyed cooking, baking, long car rides, her cabin in Maine, spending time with family and friends, and sharing stories with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Marleen is survived by her sons, Keith (Pam) of Cumberland, Tom (Annette) of NY, and Glenn (Kristina) of Vineland, loving grandchildren, Tommy, Cody, Colin, Konnor, and Kassidy, sister, Grace McCarty, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marleen was also predeceased by her sister, Barbara Dow.
