Margaret Ann McLaughlin, "Peggy", age 75 of Ocean View, passed away January 16, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, PA she has been a resident of Ocean View for 14 years. For many years she had worked at Voegele Mechanical in Philadelphia and most recently she had been a book keeper for Cape Atlantic Piling Company in Ocean View. She was a mentor to many throughout her career. She loved to read and enjoyed attending concerts, plays and sporting events. She worked to save the dunes, planting sea grass and pine trees to combat erosion and preserve habitat for the wildlife she cared about. She loved and provided a special home for the many cat companions she had throughout her life.

Peggy is survived by two sons, Bernard J. Gaughan and his wife Danette of Millville and George Parker and his wife Vicki of Bussey, Iowa; three sisters, Patricia Allen, Bernadette Rodilosso and her husband Henry and Christine Rathgeb and her husband Rick; one brother George McLaughlin; 10 grandchildren , Christy Gaughan (Melissa Ong), Stephanie Rech (Rob) , Sean Gaughan (Courtney), Colleen Gaughan, Bernard James Gaughan IV, Kaila Gaughan , Teresa Poole (Jeremiah), Kelly Parker (Bret Hoy), Michael Parker and James Parker; 7 great grandchildren; Riley and Owen Rech, Gia Gaughan, Adison and Alissa Poole, Everett and Newt Hoy; longtime friend Frank Cacciola and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Carol McColgan and a brother Thomas McLaughlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass 10 AM Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Joseph's Church on Landis Avenue between 43rd and 44th Streets in Sea Isle City . There will be visitation from 9 AM to 10 AM in the church. There will be a second visitation from 12:30 PM to 2 PM at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street in Millville. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Millville.
