Lois E. Sherman (nee Taylor), age 96, of Glassboro, formerly of Millville, passed away Monday morning, August 14, 2023.

Lois was born in Bridgeton, NJ and grew up on a farm in Centre Grove. During WWII, she served with the USO at the Millville Airport, and for several years she worked as a bookkeeper for Holly Orchards. Lois was an active member of First Presbyterian Church on the Maurice River in Millville. At the church she was active in the Women's Association and volunteered for many of the outreach programs. She was a regular at a monthly Canasta and Junior Gab Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cameron "Butch" Sherman; parents, J. George and Rena Taylor; and brother, John "Jack" Taylor.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Brenda J.  Freitag (Chet Tuthill), Marcia A. Sherman, and Sueann Robbins (Dan); sister, Jane L. Gravel; grandchildren, Christopher "Kit" Freitag, Rosanne Wagner (Eric), Dani Pentecharsky (Jackie), and Cameron Robbins; and great grandchild, Aurora Wagner.

A graveside service will be held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois's memory to the Millville Public Library, 210 Buck Street, Millville, NJ, 08332.
