Kathryn L. Schischkin (nee Hunsicker), 47, of Vineland left this earth on Thursday Oct 5, 2017 after a courageous battle with Breast cancer. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Born in Landsdale Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. Hunsicker and the late Barbara P. Hunsicker of Millville.
Kathy was raised in Millville, New Jersey and was a graduate of Millville Senior High School, class of 1988. She was a graduate of Cumberland County College class of 2000. She had been a resident of Vineland for 23 years.
Mrs. Schischkin was an Education Para Professional for Child Family Center in Millville for 17 years. She enjoyed working tirelessly with the young students at CFC and cherished the friendships that were formed with the parents and her colleagues.
She was an avid Horror and Zombie movie fan and a religious Philadelphia Eagles fanatic, was a devoted mother and wife and loved spending time at home cooking and baking sweat treats especially during the holidays. She enjoyed spending time in her garden planting flowers for butterflies and feeding the neighboring hummingbirds. Kathy also volunteered with Relay for Life, participated, and raised funds for the charity to help in the fight against Cancer.
Kathy is survived by her Husband of 20 years, Paul R. Schischkin; a son, Ryan Paul; a daughter, Kyra Leigh; a sister, Lauren Hunsicker; a brother, Robert P. Hunsicker (Julie), and by loving in-laws, aunts, nieces, nephews and a list of long time friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kathy's service Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 301 N 3rd St., Millville. Visitation will be from 3-6 pm, Memorial service at 6pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathy's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
