Joseph L. Smith, Jr., age 87 of Millville, passed away suddenly on January 23, 2013 in Cooper University Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Millville, Joseph was a member of the Good Sports Gun Club, Shekinah Lodge No. 58 F & A.M. of Millville and the Bethel Baptist Church of Upper Deerfield.
Joseph is survived by his wife of eleven years Betty Copley-Smith; two daughters, Julie Smith and Betsy Parker; three step daughters, Pamela Hoffner, Vicki Franklin and Patricia Ansara; step daughter-in-law Debbie Copley, nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends will be received from 11:30 AM to 1 PM Monday in the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street in Millville, where his funeral service will be held at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
