Joseph John Pettit, Sr., 81, of Millville, passed away September 3, 2026 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Millville, New Jersey, he was the son of Edward Pettit, Sr. and Mary Ford Tozer Pettit. Joseph had worked for Wheaton Glass as a machine operator and Millville Board of Education before his retirement. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Paul and Edward, and a son William Paul Pettit.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Regina Hines Pettit, daughters, Regina Mary Burnett and JoAnn Driscoll, sons, Joseph John Pettit, Jr. and Andrew Thomas Pettit, sisters, Mary Ellen Snyder and Betty Jane Jenhino, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joseph’s cremation was private.
