John Richard Urban, 65, sadly passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, after complications from dementia. John was born on October 24, 1960, in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, where he met his high school sweetheart, Pamala. They married in 1982 and went on to build a loving family together, raising two wonderful children.
John was a hardworking man who could never sit still. He was truly a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. Whether he was working on something around the house, washing and caring for his cars, or simply finding something to keep his hands busy, John was always on the go. He worked as a maintenance contractor on South Street in Philadelphia for many years, where his hardworking nature and ability to fix anything served him well.
More than anything, John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Pamala Urban (Grant); his son, Dennis Urban; his daughter, Amanda Shannon (Urban); his son-in-law, Matthew Shannon; and his two beloved grandchildren, Damien and Oliver, who lovingly knew him as "Hop."
John leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved him deeply. Though dementia may have taken pieces of him over time, it could never take away the love he gave or the memories he created with the people who meant the most to him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
