John David Turner, Jr., age 72 of Millville, passed away Thursday morning, July 22, 2021 at Genesis Healthcare in Millville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; parents, Helen and John D. Turner, Sr.; sister, Helen Lorenzo; brother, Thomas Turner; and nephew, Jason R. Duvilla.

A hard worker all of his life, John started out in the family plumbing and heating business, then he worked at Kerr Glass, as an oysterman in Louisiana and finally for Joe Boyle Messenger Service. In his retirement, he loved to see his grandchildren and great grandchildren, go fishing, and gamble at the casinos.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Sherrie Case (Tim) of Shawsville, VA, and Tina Alexander (Todd Sauber) of Tiffin, OH; son, John D. Turner, III (Miranda) of Canton, OH; step daughter, Rita Parent (Scott) and step son, Jeff Mooneyham (Linda,) all of Millville, siblings, Patricia A. Duvilla of Folsom; Ellen Turner of Port Elizabeth; Sara Turner Fielding of Vineland; Kay Sheppard (Harry) of Vineland; Ann Cossaboon (Joe) of Dividing Creek; Donna Orsini (Randy) of Eldora; and Catherine Hartley (Victor) of Woodbine; 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held for John at his sister's house (Ellen Turner) on Saturday July 31, 2021 at 3 PM.
