John Robert Shaughnessy, "Bob" passed away Sunday morning, December 1, 2013 in his home. He was a longtime resident of Millville and worked for ShopRite Supermarkets for many years. The last 10 years he worked for ShopRite in Glassboro. Bob was fond of dogs and enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his father William Shaughnessy.
Bob is survived by his mother, Evelyn A. Shaughnessy; one sister Maureen Shaughnessy, S.C.; two brothers, Bill and his wife Rosemary and Mike and his wife Barbara; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's Memorial Mass 11 AM Friday at Parish of All Saints at St. John Bosco Church, Hillcrest Ave, Millville. Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM to 11 AM in the church. Inurnment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Sisters of Charity Retirement Fund, P.O. Box 476, Convent Station, NJ 07961. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Barr Funeral Home.
