John W Shaffer Jr, Born December 21, 1950, passed away peacefully at Penn Medical on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, surrounded by his wife and family. John was retired from the Millville Water and Sewage Company where he worked for 36 years.

John enjoyed spending time with friends and family, Hunting, Fishing, Horror films and being an avid wine connoisseur. HIs grandchildren were his world!

John is survived by his wife Karin Shaffer of 39 years, his daughters Cynthia Locke and Rebecca Getz, and his sons Robert Getz (Kelly) and John Shaffer III (Lindsay). His grandchildren, Daniel Locke (Brittany), Dylan Vanaman, Ryan Getz, Dean Getz, Cecil Locke, Beau Getz and Bella Getz. Brother In Law Carmen Spinnato, Sister In Law Elke Spinnato, nieces, nephews and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Fannie Shaffer, Brothers, William Shaffer and Charles Shaffer, sister Diana Shaffer, Daughter Barbara Getz and Son in Law Otley Locke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and funeral service on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street, Millville. There will be a viewing from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
