John "Pippy" Nelson, age 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016, after many years of declining health.
Born in Millville, Pippy had lived in Alaska for 40 years and had worked on the Alaskan pipeline during his time there. In 1992, he moved back to Millville. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Vera Nelson.
Pippy is survived by his aunt and caretaker, Marge Butcher; uncle, John Samchuk and wife Ila; cousin, Andy Butcher with whom he lived and was like a brother; and several other cousins and relatives.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family and are under the direction of Barr Funeral Home.
