John Wayne Adams, age 61 of Millville, passed away Friday morning in his home. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family.
John was an avid outdoorsman and liked to fish, hunt, crabbing with his granddaughter, Kerrigan, and ride his motorcycle with his grandson, Paul. He had a great sense of humor and loved cracking jokes. He loved spending time with his family. John was a "jack of all trades"- he could fix anything. He was often called by family and friends with plumbing, electrical, and building problems and John was quick to come to their aid. He worked hard all of his life, well into to his illness.
John is survived by: his wife of 44 years Kathleen Schwegel Adams; 2 daughters, Vicki L. and her husband Nate Sharp III, and Diane T. and her husband Jonathan P. Todd, Sr.; and 3 grandchildren, Kerrigan M. Sharp, Jonathan P. Todd, Jr., and Jessica E. Todd.; and his canine best friend, Jack.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's funeral service on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and Wednesday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street in Millville, followed by the funeral service 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
