Jeff W. Estes, Sr. age 67 of Millville, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon with his family by his side.
Born in Pennsville, he has been a Millville resident for over 30 years. Tragically his parents, Jeff and Anna Estes, died in an auto accident when he was 11 years old. Jeff served in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 82 and the Millville Elks B.P.O.E. 580 of Millville. Jeff had worked for Wheaton Glass in the hot end for 17 years before he began a career as a correctional officer at Bayside State Prison. He worked at Bayside for 25 years, retiring in 2009 as a Senior Corrections Officer.
Jeff is survived by: one daughter, Dorie L. Moore, and her husband Michael; one son, Jeff Estes, Jr., and his wife Wendy; his foster mother, Julia Kelly; two sisters, Cathy and Sharon; and one brother, Charles; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeff's graveside service, 11 AM, Thursday July 23, 2015 at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, 189 Trench Road, Bridgeton, NJ. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Barr Funeral Home.
