Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of Janette Susan Andrews, a beloved wife,

sister, and aunt who passed peacefully at home on August 20th at the age of 72.

Born in Millville to the late Joseph and Audrey Ridgway, Susan was a graduate of

Millville High School and earned her nursing degree at Cumberland County

College. She worked at Vineland Development Center and the state of New

Jersey for over 35 years.

Susan was a kind and caring woman who loved spending time with her family,

especially her husband, George. They shared many happy memories together,

often traveling in their RV and enjoying the outdoors.

She had a special love for her golden retrievers, who were always by her side. In

her free time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, baking, crafts and

relaxing with loved ones. She brought comfort and warmth to many through her handmade gifts and thoughtful nature.

She was known for her baking talents, especially her famous carrot cake. She is

fondly remembered for hosting her annual Christmas parties where guests enjoyed

her baked goods and children enjoyed visits with Santa complete with

individualized gifts. She was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan and never missed

watching a baseball game.

Susan will be deeply missed by her husband, her extended family, and all who

knew her.

She is survived by her husband George Andrews of Millville, their two dogs Ginger

and Arlo, her siblings Patricia Bryant (Paris), and David Ridgway (Lydia), her

stepchildren Kelly and Henry Andrews, her adoring nieces and nephews who

loved her like a second mother Courtney Mitchell (Jeffrey), Derek Bryant (Layne),

Ashley Guy (Sean), Rebecca, Samuel, Lilliana and Keenan Ridgway, and great

nieces and nephews. Upon her request no memorial service will be held. In lieu of

flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Hope Foundation in her

honor.
