James S. Andrus, age 77 of Millville, passed away Sunday evening, August 14, 2022, at home with his daughter and wife by his side.

James was a talented woodworker and the owner of Maurice River Lumber Company. He had a wealth of knowledge, especially about trees, that he was eager to share. He was a devout member of the First United Methodist Church in Millville. James was proud of his daughter and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Kirk, and sister, Alice, and his loving guardians from his childhood, Bea and Bud Featherer, of Salem County.

James is survived by his wife, Ellen Hyson Dayton Andrus; daughter, Marguerite Lonchambon and her husband, Eric, of Vineland; grandchildren, Juliet and Cole Lonchambon; and brothers, Richard and his wife Claire, of Millville, Mike and his wife Joann, of California, and Donald Andrus, Of Oregon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend James's funeral on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street, Millville, NJ 08332. There will be a viewing from 10 AM to 11 AM, with the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will be in Newport Baptist Cemetery.
