Howard I. Ore, age 71, of Vineland, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024.

Born in Bridgeton NJ to Leon and Lydia Ore, Howard grew up in Fairton and graduated from Bridgeton High School, class of 1972. He joined the Marines after graduation and served in the Corp from 1974-1986. He was a member of the Marine Corps League. "Once a Marine-always a Marine" was his motto.

Howard enjoyed antique and classic cars, western and action movies, playing cards, bowling, and truck driving.  He was gifted conversationalist who was always telling jokes and how he was always right.  He spent 40 years with the love of his life, Peggy Ann Ore, who passed in 2023. Howard and Peggy Ann raised five amazing children together and were blessed with two beautiful granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Peggy Ann, daughter, April, and sister, Margaret Smith.

Howard is survived by three daughters, Ashley (Nate) Ore, Barbara-Jean (Steven) Ore, Gina (Michael) Ferrari; one son, Howard I Ore Jr.; two granddaughters Holly-Lynn April Delancey and Isabella Marie Ferrari; brother, Leon Ore, Jr.; sister, Mary Pappas, his beloved dog, Randy, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville, with the funeral service at 12 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
