Helen (Dawson) Lauber, age 89, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026.

Helen was born on August 25, 1937, in Bybee, TN to Fred and Ann (Freshour) Dawson. Around the age of 17, the family moved to New Jersey and Helen started working at the Armstrong Cork Company/Kerr Glass where she met the love of her life, John (Johnny) Lauber. Years later, Helen began working for Wheaton Glass Industries where she retired after 20 years of service.

Helen was an excellent basketball player in high school. She loved hunting and fishing in Northern Maine and Canada with her husband. In her younger years, Helen was very involved with the South Millville Hunting Club with her husband, Johnny. She was an avid reader, loved playing Bingo, lottery tickets, and taking trips to the casino with family and friends.

Helen will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by her siblings, Artell Lee, Ella Dacy, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and multiple brothers and sisters.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to The American Cancer Society in memory of Helen Lauber.
