Gerald J. Ushler, Sr., age 74, passed away Thursday morning, September 20, 2018. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

A lifelong resident of Millville, Jerry was a 1962 graduate of Millville High School. He immediately went to work at his father's business, Ushler's East Side Auto Body. His passion for working on cars began when he painted his first car at the age of 9. He was a fixture at the shop and helped grow the business through the 1960's when he took over the day to day operations. Jerry took pride in sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge about the body shop and repair business with his grandson, Frank, who became a key employee at the family business.

Jerry was a devoted and active member of the First United Methodist Church and hosted a weekly men's devotional group at Ushler's. He was also a member of the Gideons International and Millville Kiwanis. He was an avid collector of antique bottles, beer steins, and trains, but his true passion were his cars. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Jerry is survived by: his wife, Tracy Polhamus Ushler, son, Gerald Ushler, Jr., daughters, Caroline and Kristina Ushler, nephew and niece, Charlie and Heather Sharp, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
