George O. Parent, Jr., born on August 28, 1954, unexpectedly passed away at Cooper Hospital due to health complications on April 2, 2022.

George was a firefighter in Millville for the last 40 years, he also worked as a dispatcher at Riggins Oil, and he was Millville crossing guard. He was a member of the Millville Elks Lodge. In his spare time, he loved to spend time with his partner of 23 years, Connie, and the grandkids. He enjoyed family vacations, going out to dinner, and relaxing by the fire outside with his family.

He is predeceased by his parents George Parent, Sr. and Emma Smellwood and one sister. He is survived by his sister Edith, his children George and Joe, his partner Connie Plocher and her two children Derek Kozma (Tiffany) and Ashley Burns (Christopher), and his 7 grandchildren, Curtis, Madison, Derek Jr, Devin, Troy, Zander and Gracie. He had many other family members and friends who love and will miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville. There will be a viewing from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
