Fred L. Jenkins, age 78 of Millville, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018. Born in Roanoke, VA, Fred resided in South Jersey for the past 48 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Fred was a beloved educator at Fairfield Township School for 35 years. He taught in the migrant program for many years, ending his career as a middle school math teacher. He also worked as a home instructor for Bridgeton Schools and Gloucester Special Services.

Fred enjoyed traveling abroad, theater trips to New York City, and was an avid sports fan. Nothing brought him greater joy than sitting by the pool with his family and his beloved dog, Daisy.

Fred is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Nancy; daughters - Erica Jenkins and Sara Yurick (James); son - Jarrad Jenkins (Mary); grandson Joseph Denfield; and sisters - Berkley Hobson and Lois Lucker.  Predeceased by siblings - Daniel, James, William, and Louise.

Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM and Thursday morning from 9 to 10 AM at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville. A funeral mass will be held 11 AM Thursday at Parish of All Saints (St Mary Magdalen Church) in Millville. Burial will be at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township.
