Elizabeth Shannon, age 92 of Millville, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Born in Portland, Maine, to Harry and Frances Miller, Elizabeth moved to Millville in 1951. She married William Joseph Shannon on July 4, 1953 and enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 39 years until his death in 1992. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church / Parish of All Saints and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  She was co-founder of Millville Girls Softball League along with Jean Shannon and Pat Felmey.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, William Joseph Shannon, Jr., Michael Francis Shannon (Shelley), Adele Conti (Chris), James Shannon (Pat), and Stephanie Dwyer (John); brother, Robert Miller (Claire); grandchildren, Christopher Marshall, Ryan Conti (Ariana), Kaitlin Gross (James), Sean Shannon (Erika), John Dwyer (Hailee), and Sydney Shannon; great grandchildren Kylee Dwyer and Grayson Gross; many nieces and nephews, especially, Patti Brunner, Donald and Toni Fauerbach, Audrey Worth and Corrine Miller; and dear friends, Anne Sooy, Eva Sooy, and Ellen Jordan. She was predeceased by brothers, Harry Bud Miller (Frances), Thomas Miller (Dorothy), and Richard Miller (Mary) and a sister, Margaret Fauerbach (Rudy).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Elizabeth's memorial service on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville. There will be visitation with the family from 10 AM to 12 PM followed by the service at 12 PM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
