Edward Abbott, Jr., of Okeechobee, FL, passed away March 21, 2024, at age 89.

Edward was born December 19, 1934, in Salem, NJ and lived in Millville for over 30 years. Before retiring, he and his wife, Jacqueline, owned and operated the Country Roads Luncheonette at Buckshutem and Cedarville Roads for 21 years. Upon retiring, he took to the road in his RV, traveling extensively, before settling in Florida. Ed was a proud US Navy Korean War veteran. He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline; daughter, Sharyn Holmberg; brother, George Abbott; and his parents, Edward Abbott, Sr. and Elizabeth Abbott.

Edward is survived by three daughters, Debbie Falzone (Lionel), Cindy Lamanteer (Barry), and Wendy Brelsford (Arthur), one son, Edward Abbott III (Abby), one sister, Elizabeth Miller, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Edward's life will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, April 13, 2024, in the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street, Millville. Visitation with the family will be from 9 AM to 10:30 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Chapters Health Hospice, 411 Southeast 4th Street, Okeechobee, FL 34974 Okeechobee, FL 34972. Burial with Military Honors be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
