Obituary

Dorothy "Dar" (Hatcher) Hogan Radig, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her

family on April 9, 2021.

Born in Millville, NJ on August 20, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Earl and

Dorothy (Peterson) Hatcher. In 1963, Dorothy married Everett H. Hogan of Millville

and had a son, Kevin E. Hogan, in 1970. She was predeceased by her husband Everett

in 1973 after almost 10 years of marriage. She then married John E. Radig, of

Breckenridge, MN in 1978 and had a daughter, Kristin, in 1981. John later passed away

in 1987 after 8 years of marriage.

Dorothy graduated from Vineland High school in 1962 and later went on to earn her

Associates' Degree from Cumberland County College. After high school she worked at

Millville National Bank in the credit department; was the Legislative Aide for Senator

James Hurley; was a realtor for Reeves & Melvin; and worked for more than 30 years at

the Shirley Eves Developmental and Therapeutic Center as their comptroller.

During her lifetime, she devoted herself to service to the community. From a very

young age, Dorothy traveled all over South Jersey singing and performing with her

family band called The Musical Hatchers. She was a lifelong member of the 4th United

Methodist Church where she served as a member of the Finance Committee, Treasurer

of the Trustees, choir member, and choir director. She was also a member of the

women's club, Zonta International, for many years and helped out with numerous

community service projects throughout Cumberland County. She was an avid reader,

gardener, birder, and loved going on Shopping Olympics with friends. There was

never a school or sporting or extracurricular event that she missed and loved her

grandchildren beyond measure.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Dorothy Hatcher, and two brothers,

Thomas Hatcher (Nancy) of Millville and Earl Hatcher (Kathryn) of St. Augustine, Fl.

She is survived by her sister, Earleen Flanagan (William) of Vineland; two children,

Kevin Hogan (Kathleen) of Heislerville; Kristin Allcorn (Matthew) of Quinton; her

grandchildren Emma and Callie Allcorn and Scott and Ryan Hogan; and many nieces,

nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
