Doris M. Tomlinson, age 93, of Vineland, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at her home.

Born and raised in Port Norris, Doris had lived in Millville for most of her life until moving to Vineland 4 years ago. Formerly a nurse, she had worked for Millville Hospital for 40 years before retiring.

Doris had been active in the Eastern Star Shekinah Lodge Chapter 82. In the 1960s, she founded the High Hopes Travelers Club of the YWCA. She was a member of the Laurel Lake Ladies Auxiliary, Commercial Township Land Use Board, and looked forward to working the voter polls during elections.

She enjoyed trips to the casino, big band music, gardening, and yard work. In her spare time, she liked to knit, crochet and needle point.

Doris was predeceased by her father, Lester Corson; mother, Mabel Day; stepfather, Samuel Day; brothers, Charles and Lester Corson; husband, Charles Tomlinson; and son, Samuel Day Tomlinson. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda L. West and her husband, Larry, Carol Tomlinson-Dagostino and her husband Santo; grandchildren, Amy Rehm, Kristina Rehm, Christopher Rehm, Phillip Tomlinson, and Billie Jo Godish; great grandchildren, Tegan Rehm, Mason Tomlinson, and Charlotte Tomlinson and nephews, Jerry Corson, Kenneth Corson and a niece, Debbie Williams.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Doris' funeral on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville, NJ 08332. There will be a viewing from 12 PM to 1 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1 PM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Doris, payable to Easter Star Shekinah Lodge 82, and mailed to Linda McDowell, 6 Taylor Ave, Cape may, NJ 08204.
