Doris G. Smith, age 91, beloved wife of the late John B. Smith, passed away at Bridgeton Hospital Hospice Center on August 6, 2013. She is a graduate of Millville High School Class of 1941 and a lifelong resident of Millville. She attended both St. Mary Magdalen and St. John Bosco churches in Millville. Doris had worked at L.G. Nestor company as a production worker. She liked to cook and in her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Doris is predeceased by her sister Lou Hignett and brothers James and Arthur Garrison. She is survived by her sister Betty Brown and her husband Willard; brother-in-law Robert Hignett; nieces Linda Metzger and Cindy Hignett; nephew Willard Brown and his wife Janice and numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Threre will be a viewing on Saturday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street in Millville. Doris' Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Saturday at Parish of All Saints at St. Mary Magdalen Church at Buck and Depot Streets in Millville. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
