Obituary

Deborah Ann Bohn-Butler was born in Philadelphia to Charles and Joan Weise, where she spent her childhood, graduating from Mastbuam High School, as well as her early adulthood surrounded by family and the city she dearly loved. She often recounted stories of her trips to the shore with her parents and helping her mother run a pottery store in Philadelphia. Debbie first married Gary Bohn, and together they welcomed two daughters, Joann and Leann, who married Christopher and Aneudy respectively. Her daughters were the greatest joys of her life. She later married James Butler (who she met shooting pool), her soulmate and the love of her life, with whom she shared many cherished years.

Debbie was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. She is lovingly remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and her unwavering support for those she cared about. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter Brandi, her parents Joan and Charles, and her brother John (lovingly known as Uncle Jack) and niece Denise McManus.

She is survived by her husband, daughters, and nine grandchildren: Francis, Anthony, Matthew Charles, Curtis, Jamin, Noah, Matthew Robert, Sofia, and Anuedy Jr, each of whom brought happiness, laughter, and pride to her life.

Debbie loved the serenity of lighthouses, the peace of the beach, and the simple beauty found in the world around her. She was a talented and dedicated real estate agent and broker, known for her passion, expertise, and genuine care for her clients. A gifted cross-stitcher, Debbie created many detailed and meaningful pieces, each crafted with patience and love. Jim and Debbie enjoyed many of the same activities, from shooting pool to line dancing to boating to hitting the casinos, enjoying each other's company greatly along the way.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched—through her family, her friendships, her creativity, and the countless memories she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Debbie's name to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia or The Ronald McDonald House. These organizations held a special place in her heart, as they provided extraordinary care, compassion, and support to her beloved granddaughter Brandi and her family.
