David K. Steitz, age 81 of Millville, passed away Tuesday evening at Samaritan Hospice Center in Voorhees. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family.

David was born in Jersey City and had lived in Little Egg Harbor for 32 years before moving to Millville 11 years ago. His work career included working for the US Postal Service for several years and then working for Trump Marina Hotel and Casino for 20 years retiring as a casino supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, golf, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the New Life World Outreach Church in Millville.

David is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Patricia Steitz; his children, Christine Papernik and husband Tom, Patricia Swope and husband Hal, and David Steitz; 7 grandchildren, Alissa and Rachel Papernik; Megan, Matthew, Michael, and Macklin Cushman, and Logan Steitz; and sister-in-law Mary McEvilly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service 11 AM Tuesday at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street, Millville. There will be a viewing Monday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and Tuesday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
