David Jonus, age 66, of Leesburg, passed away on Friday afternoon, March 15, 2024, at home.

He was born and raised in Chicago, moved to Ardsley, NY as a young adult and settled briefly in Vineland, NJ, where he met his wife, Peggy. They married in 1985 and moved to Leesburg in 1996. David worked Wheaton Consumer Products and then Wheaton Fine Glass where he became Regional sales Manager. When Wheaton's closed the fine glass division, David went to work for Adco Financial in Bridgeton in sales and was eventually promoted to the underwriting department. He had attended Cumberland County College, Stockton State College and finally Rutgers University where he earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration. David loved music, especially the Grateful Dead, studied classical cello, and enjoyed playing guitar.

David is survived by his wife Peggy Schultz Jonus, brother, John Jonus and his wife, Beth; step daughter, Rhonda Butcher; step granddaughters, Jessica Butcher, Jodi Sutton and Karly Butcher; and step great grandchildren, Zachary Hartman, Lucas Hartman, Riley Sutton, Harrison Sutton, Charlie Anne Sutton, and Russell Sutton.
