Clara (Ayars) Whildin, age74 of Millville, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at home.

A lifelong resident of Millville, Clara was a long-time member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church where she served a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was also a Girl Scout troop leader for 10 years. Before retirement she worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Millville for 35 years. She enjoyed sewing, working out at the gym, and wintering in Florida.

She was predeceased by her first husband Lester Ayars, and a sister, Marietta Dixon.

Clara is survived by her husband, Dan Whildin; daughter, Michele Ayars; son, Michael Ayars; brother, Robert Bonham; grandchildren, William and Megan Sheppard; and great grandchildren William and Kylie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Clara's viewing and funeral service on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville, NJ 08332. There will be a viewing from 10 AM to 11 AM in the funeral home, with the service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter, 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland NJ 08360.
