Claire K. Dodson, age 90 of Millville, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 after an extended illness.
Claire was a lifelong resident of Millville, graduate of Millville High School, and had worked for Bond Grocery Store office from 1943-1946 and National Glass Sand, now Unimin Corp., in their office for 46 years, retiring in 1992. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millville and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 82 and had received a 50 year membership pin. She enjoyed baking and crafts. Claire married Floyd Dodson on September 9, 1950 and enjoyed 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2005. She was also predeceased by her brothers Russell and Oscar.
She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Patricia Konschak and Sara Dodson, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Claire's funeral service 11 am Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville, where there will be a viewing from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 301 N. 3rd Street, Millville, NJ 08332.
