Catherine Irene Green of Egg Harbor Township, formerly of Millville, NJ, passed away peacefully at Shore Memorial with her family by her side on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 after a long hard fight and extended illness. She was born in Philadelphia on August 15, 1934 but resided most of her life in Millville, NJ where she met and married her husband of over 50 years and raised 4 children.

Anyone that had ever met her or had the priviledge of knowing her knew what a caring, loving and special determined person person she was.

She worked hard all her life with no complaints as a waitress locally- "The Holly & Harding House" and others before her stroke disabled her to continue. Before and even after becoming disabled she continued to love life from traveling, fishing "her passion", to enjoying her needlepoint, crocheting one handed and being with her family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband John Green, her two youngest sons John (12-96) and Richard (11-96), along with her parents Catherine and William Strange of Millville and her only brother Harry Strange of Warminster, PA.

Catherine is survived by her loving children- William (Bill) Green and Tacie of Laurel lake, NJ and her daughter and caregiver Catherine Brown and Jim of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, along with Dick Anctil of Lowell, Mass., who considered her a 2nd mother and her granddogs Steeler and Tiki! She also was the special neighbor and Nana Green to her special little princesses Olivia and Alyssa Martinolich along with many nieces and nephews and extended family that completely love and miss her deeply!

Friends and family may call from 6 PM to 8 PM Thursday and 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Friday at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street in Millville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday at Parish of All Saints at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 612 Dock Street, Millville, NJ with committal services at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville.

Memorial donations may be made in her name or her sons' names to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, Trubute processing Dept., 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis , TN 38105 or any animal or cancer charity of donor's choice.
