Obituary

Andrew (Andy) Aaron Butcher, 66, passed away on October 8th, 2026 in the home he grew up in. Andrew was born on October 7th in 1960 to Martha (Marge) and Henry Butcher II in Millville, NJ where he was a lifelong resident.

Andy graduated from Millville Sr. High school in 1979, and he attended St. Mary Magdalen in early education. Andy made a career in tile work with Jefco. He later found a second career in Easmunt Paving where he was surrounded by a work-family he was fond of.

Andy had a flare for music and appreciated the memories that came with a familiar tune. He spent the best days of his life surrounded by a banded Butcher brotherhood. Motorcycles, fast cars, swamp tromping, drinking beer, bowling, and fishing could be considered to Andy as the finer things in life. Andy had an overwhelmingly dry sense of humor that could break a room out in laughter with a few precisely placed words. He was known to boil it down to – “It’s common sense,” – especially when it wasn’t. He charmed many people with his calm demeanor and composure.

Andy is survived by niece; Erica Butcher and her husband John Offineer, and great niece; Harley Offineer, and many, many beloved cousins and in-laws. Andrew is proceeded in death by his mother; Martha Butcher, father; Henry Butcher II, and brother; Henry Butcher III.

Visitation will be held at Barr Funeral Home on Monday, October 19th, 2026. Viewings will start at 10:00 followed by memorial and funeral services beginning at 11:00. Andrew will be laid to rest at the Head of the River Cemetery. Those who would like to attend are welcome to join the family at South Millville Gunning Club following the burial.
